Is ChatGPT ignoring you?
Type your website. We check whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Bing are allowed in, whether they can read your pages without running JavaScript, and whether there is anything on them worth quoting. You get a score and the exact fixes on this page.
What this can't tell you: what ChatGPT actually says about you. Nothing outside ChatGPT can see that reliably. This checks whether the AI tools can reach, read and quote your site, which they need before they can mention it.
What we check
Nine things AI answer engines need from your site.
Everything here is read from the outside, the way a crawler sees it: your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt. Nothing to install, no login, no AI guessing. Each check is plain code, so the same site gets the same answer every time. If something can't be checked (a firewall turns us away, or the page is drawn by JavaScript), the report says "couldn't check" and leaves it out of the score instead of marking you down.
AI crawlers allowed in
Your robots.txt rules for OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User (ChatGPT search), PerplexityBot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended and CCBot. Blocking the search crawlers keeps you out of answers. Blocking the training ones is a choice we point out, with a lighter weight.
Readable without JavaScript
AI crawlers read the HTML your server sends and don't run scripts. If your words only appear after JavaScript runs, they see a near-empty page.
Business details for machines
A LocalBusiness or Organization block in JSON-LD structured data, with your name, address and phone, so a machine can tell exactly who you are.
Passages worth quoting
A clear main heading, sections with subheadings, short paragraphs that state facts (prices, areas, hours, years) and questions answered on the page.
Search-index signals
ChatGPT search leans on Bing's index. We check that Bingbot is allowed, that nothing says noindex or nosnippet, and that the canonical tag points at you.
Title and description
A page title and meta description that say what you do and where, at a length that isn't cut off.
Sitemap
An XML sitemap listed in robots.txt or at /sitemap.xml, so crawlers find every page.
HTTPS
A valid certificate, and plain http:// addresses redirecting to https://.
llms.txt (optional)
We tell you whether you have one. It isn't scored: no major AI search engine has said it reads the file.
Questions
Before you ask.
Does a high score mean ChatGPT will recommend me?
No. It means nothing on your site is stopping AI tools from reading and quoting you. Whether they pick you also depends on what the rest of the web says about you: reviews, listings, articles and mentions.
Is this the same as the free audit?
No. The free audit checks your front office: website, Google listing, reviews, booking, chat and follow-up. This check covers one thing, whether AI answer engines can use your site.
Why does it say "couldn't check"?
Some sites put a firewall or bot challenge in front of every automated visitor. When that happens we can't see what a crawler sees, so we say so instead of guessing.
Do you store my website?
We keep a log of which sites were checked, their scores and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, so we can stop abuse and spot problems with the checker. Your email is only stored if you ask for the report.
